Mahidol University's ASEAN Institute for Health Development and the State of Meghalaya, India, Launch the "Educational Tour Program on Public Health Policy: Learning Experiences from Thailand" 

Date: April 28, 2025 - Location: PMH Conference Center, Mahidol University, Salaya, Thailand - Mahidol University’s ASEAN Institute for Health Development, in partnership with the State of Meghalaya, India, launched the "Educational Tour Program on Public Health Policy: Learning Experiences from Thailand" on April 28, 2025. This initiative fosters international collaboration and knowledge exchange in public health policy between Thailand and India. The opening ceremony, held at Mahidol University’s PMH Conference Center in Salaya, was led by Ms. Paulomi Tripathi, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, alongside Associate Professor Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhiratthiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, and Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development. The event welcomed 33 participants from Meghalaya, along with university executives and faculty.

Strengthening Global Health Partnerships

Ms. Tripathi expressed gratitude to Mahidol University for creating a platform to share expertise in public health policy. She highlighted the program’s role in fostering Thailand-India health cooperation. Dr. Nopraenue emphasized its significance in building public health capacities and forging lasting global partnerships. Dr. Thunwadee noted that participants will gain insights into Thailand’s renowned healthcare system, including its Universal Health Coverage (UHC) scheme, health workforce development, and innovative health initiatives.
