“IDC RoBoCon 2016” hosted by Thailand officially kicks off”

     The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) under the supervision of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Dr. Thaweesak Koanantakool (5th from the left side), President of NSTDA, in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun (5th from the right side), the Dean, along with International Committee of IDC RoBoCon and sponsors including Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), PTT Public Company Limited and Pantip Pratunam participated in the opening ceremony of the “International Design Contest (IDC) RoBoCon 2016”. First and foremost, Thailand is honored to be the host of the 27th edition of the international competition which is held under the concept “Robot Caregiver” and attended by 50 university students representing seven countries including Japan, China, South Korea, Egypt, Singapore, Morocco, and Thailand. The students will be divided into 10 teams and each team consists of five members. The competition takes place at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, with the final match scheduled for August 20, 2016 at Pantip Pratunam.
