GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards and Challenge Gems Faceting Master 2019 Press Conference Location: Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok
Bangkok, 8 July, 2019 – The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) is inviting designers worldwide to compete for the winning cash prize of US$ 35,000 (approximately 1,000,000 Baht) and a trophy in the 13th World Jewelry Design Awards and Challenge Gems Faceting Master 2019
This year’s contest is held under the theme of ‘"Blue by Day, Green By Evening, Red by Night” starring blue jewel (focusing on sapphire), red jewel (focusing on ruby) and green jewel. The design can be in the format of coloured drawings (open to any technique) or computer renderings.
Ms. Duangkamol Jiambutr, Director of the GIT, said this annual international jewellery design is in line with GIT’s mission to develop workforce for the industry.
“This contest is a challenging stage for designers of all levels, from students, young designers to professional designers where they will get an opportunity to show their creativity and boundless imagination to design jewellery that will be shown internationally,” she said.
Submissions are open from now until 1 August. The design of the finalists will be made into jewellery to be exhibited at the “International Chantaburi Gems and Jewelry Festival 2019”
World Jewelry Design Awards will be divided into two categories (Prizes For Ruby, Sapphire Or Semi-Precious Stone With Similar Shade Jewelry , Prizes For Peridot Or Semi-Precious Stone With Similar Shade Jewelry) : the award from the decision of honourary judges, and the Popular Design Award 2019 that is open for the public to vote from the 30 top designs through the official website.
