Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) has cooperated with Kasersart University to launch academy institution for educating and developing digital personal skills for EEC. Together with Huawei for the first time in Regional launching of 5G testing showcase (Testbed)

Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus open an academy institution called Digital Academy Thailand for educating and developing digital personal skills for EEC. Specialize in AI and Data Science ready to entering to Digital Industry age of Eastern Economic Corridor by using AI innovation infrastructure. Together with Huawei for the fist time in Regional launching 5G testbed showcase in Sriracha. Expecting to connect over billion equipment together which activate IoT, AI , Cloud and other innovations effectively. Ready making Thailand becoming A digital hub for the Region as planned by Thai government.

Dr.Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Digital Economy and Society said “Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and Kasetsart University has cooperate opening an academy institution called Digital Academy Thailand (DAT) for educating and developing digital personal skills specialize in AI and Data Sciences ready for Digital Industry age both basic and advance knowledge of high technology of data analysis equipment with effectiveness and specialize personal skills in advance technology of AI and Data Sciences to build latest innovations in EEC. We would like to thank you Digital Economy Promotion Agency for fund supporting together with Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus for premises and human resources supporting for this project. Expecting this academy in order to help developing effective digital knowledge manpower ready to develop our economy, society, cultural and security in EEC and move forward to whole country in the future”

Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President and CEO of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency who manage The IOT and Digital Innovation Institution now preparing 5G testbed said “ DAT has established to develop specialize personal skills in digital for EEC supporting by AI innovation infrastructure to manage new S-curve industry which using AI and Data Science input and connect to other advance technologies like IoT, Robotics and many more. Reskill curriculum will be launched to advance personal skills in EEC to support Digital industry age in the future. This project is in Digital industry age category which consider as a mega project value of 63,000,000 million baht ( depa supports by Infra Fund of 50,000,000 baht) under 3 years operation plan at Kasetsart University Srirach Campus”

Further more Digital Economy Promotion Agency has cooperated with Huawei the world's leader of telecommunications network equipment preparing to support Government and Private sectors ready to grab many business opportunities arises from 5G technology. By inviting major role sectors of policy leading and specialist in major industries to acknowledge official 5G testbed showcase today which consider as the fist time in The Regional connection to many alliance sectors like CAT TOT , Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and EEC. At the beginning of the launch will focus in some area like using 5G technology in medical treatment or connected car in vehicle industry then expand to other sectors. This technology will be consider as a core to connect over billion equipment together which activate IoT, AI , Cloud and other innovations effectively. Ready making Thailand becoming A digital hub for the Region as planned by Thai government.
