Philippine Airlines opens Bangkok-Cebu service

Amidst public demand for direct non-stop flights from Asian destinations to the Philippines' Central Visayas Region, flag carrier Philippine Airlines has opened a thrice weekly Bangkok-Cebu service last December 3.
Free baggage allowance and new inflight meals are among the offerings passengers will enjoy on board the 3.45 hour journey. Passengers may also enjoy music, movies and TV shows through their mobile devices by simply downloading the myPAL Player app before their flight.

The new flights are utilizing PAL's 156-seater Airbus A320 which has Business and Economy seats.


PR739 (BKK-CEB) leaves Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport at 1:30AM (local time) every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and touches down at the Mactan, Cebu International Airport at 6:15AM on the same day.

PR738 (CEB-BKK) departs Mactan, Cebu at 9:25PM every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and arrives in Bangkok at 12:10AM (local time) the following day. 


Travelers from Thailand now gain a convenient direct link to 'The Queen City of the South' and can connect to any of the following domestic destinations PAL flies to from Cebu, namely: Bacolod, Busuanga, Butuan, Cagayan, Camiguin, Caticlan, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, Siargao and Tacloban.


From Cebu, visitors may also take PAL flights to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Seoul (Incheon), Singapore, Chengdu and Beijing (Peking).
