The MOU allows for co-branding and collaboration between L’Oreal and is targeted specifically for the university’s BBA Marketing, Retail Management minor. Working together in this way is of mutual benefit to all, as students get hands-on experience of real world situations and will graduate ‘work ready’ with the knowledge and skill-sets desired by employers, and L’Oreal will be able to benefit from the strong capability of the Stamford students as they work collectively and collaboratively on real-life, real-time work related activities.
L’Oreal will work together with Stamford Faculty in developing appropriate industry related academic activities relevant to the students’ academic program. Such an excellent partnership supports Stamford greatly as the university continues its mission to produce employable graduates whose attributes match and exceed the requirements of international business and global labour markets. Stamford and L’Oreal will also work together in a variety of other industry related aspects such as projects, research and training.
Connections and collaborations with internationally renowned industry leaders such as L’Oreal are one of Stamford core pillars. Stamford believes that by working with industry partners, students gain vital exposure and experience that allows them to assess what potential careers would be like, while also giving them the practical skills that will make them essential in the workplace.
Dr Andrew Scown, Stamford’s President, said, “Stamford works closely with industry leaders such as L’Oreal to maximise student employability and strong graduate outcomes. We strive to offer job-relevant education and industry collaborations like this are of immense mutual benefit for all concerned. At Stamford we provide an innovative learning experience which focuses on student-centred teaching with interactive learning in an international environment. A strong academic grounding at Stamford, as well as the attainment of an internationally recognized, industry-relevant degree, provides for high quality graduates who achieve great career success on their graduation from our University.”
“For L’Oreal, this collaboration not only supports Thai education but also helps nurture future workforce to be successful in today’s dynamic business environment. We believe that our expertise as an international leading beauty company can provide essential practical skills and real world working exposure to Stamford’s students.” Ms. Manusrudee Suwannarat, Human Resources Director, L’Oréal (Thailand) Ltd., said.
