IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces a new capability in IFS Applications™ 9 that enhances the sales and bid process by quickly and accurately calculating bid prices. IFS Product Estimate Management was presented at IFS World Conference 2016 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The IFS Product Estimate Management solution supports manufacturing companies to establish the best possible bid price of a product when responding to sales quotation requests.
Advanced cost and build-up functionality enables users to determine whether a product can be manufactured or marketed with a profit. The solution also supports estimate-specific currency and inflation rates as well as verification of quotes submitted by suppliers. In addition, the estimator Lobby provides effective visual insight to keep track and prioritize between estimates and bids.
“We are excited to announce this new functionality, which gives the user a flexible solution for responding to RFQs as well as robust support for make versus buy decisions—thereby driving efficiency and profitability,” IFS product director Martin Gunnarsson said. “In an increasingly competitive business world, there is no room for mistakes. This new tool enables people involved in the sales and bid process to effectively collaborate to estimate opportunities based on product structures while taking a vast number of variables into account.”
