extended to serve the public seeking to pay respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej
IMPACT, in collaboration with BMTA, has extended free round-trip bus service on Muang Thong Thani – Sanam Luang route through November 30, 2016 to serve the public seeking to pay their respects to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Those planning to travel in a group are suggested to make reservations in advance on 096-897-3636.
Miss Jintana Phongpakdee, Director of Corporate Communications Department, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the operator of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, revealed that since IMPACT and the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority or BMTA introduced free bus service for those traveling from Muang Thong Thani to Sanam Luang to pay their respects to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Grand Palace in October, more than 20,000 people have used the service.
IMPACT is proud to have a part in serving the public, enabling them to express their loyalty and pay their respects to the nation’s revered and beloved King. Furthermore, IMPACT has collaborated with the Ministry of Interior to arrange parking areas at Muang Thong Thani to accommodate people travelling from northern and northeastern provinces who wish to take the free bus service to Sanam Luang. Free parking is available during November 1 – 30, 2016. Any further extension will be announced.
Under the free bus service, BMTA will provide 10-15 buses a day to operate on Muang Thong Thani-Sanam Luang route during 06:00 – 24:00 hours. Each bus can accommodate between 45 and 80 passengers. The buses will depart from Muang Thong Thani to Sanam Luang at Entrance 1 of IMPACT Forum and leave from Rattanakosin Hotel for the return trip to Muang Thong Thani. Those who wish to use the free bus services can park their cars for free at Indoor Parking 2 located right next to IMPACT Forum, or other parking areas and take IMPACT Shuttle Bus to the pick-up and drop off point. Meanwhile, groups of people travelling from other provinces are allowed to park their buses at IMPACT Lake Side for free as well.
