Bangkok, 30 November 2016 – Vespiario Thailand, the official importer and sole distributor of Italian premium scooters Vespa and Piaggio in Thailand, today made Thai debut of two legendary motorcycle brands from Italy, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi, at the 33rd Thailand International Motor Expo. In a showcase that opens up an authentic experience of Italian motorcycling, the company brings together nine models from the two brands with coverage of different riding styles including racing and custom bikes, and not to mention special promotions and offers it makes available at the event.
Vespiario Thailand looks set to launch its full-fledged foray into Thailand’s motorcycle market after securing sole distributorship for Aprilia and Moto Guzzi motorcycles, both of them Italian legendary brands with a longstanding reputation. Various models in their debuts presented at the 33rd Motor Expo are, Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory, Moto Guzzi V7 II Stone, Moto Guzzi V7 II Racer, Moto Guzzi V7 II Stornello and Moto Guzzi Audace. Along with three highlight models are Aprilia RSV4 RF, Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer, and Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber. The company believes that the official Thai entrance of these two brands will greatly enrich the local scene of Italian motorcycling, providing the enthusiasts with more choices to complement their lifestyle and express their individual taste with a spellbinding style of motorcycle.

Aprilia was born into racing and is the real sporty flagship brand for Piaggio Group. With 294 Grand Prix races won in Road Racing World Championship, Aprilia holds the record for the most wins of any European manufacturer in the history of maximum motorcycle competition. These are joined by an impressive 52 world titles. As the highlight model, Aprilia RSV4 RF in “Superpole” version weighs 2.5 kg. less than its predecessor at just 180 kg. Powered by a 201hp 65° V4 engine with total displacement of 999.6cc, Aprilia RSV4 RF is always ready to hit the racing track. In addition to its exceptional engine performance, this Aprilia comes equipped with performance parts and accessories, including front and rear Öhlins suspensions, exclusive aluminium forged rims, and “Superpole” graphic. It is priced at 1,149,000 baht.
Moto Guzzi, another premium brand from Piaggio Group, has a long history dating back to 1921. The 95-year-old brand features a spread-winged eagle motif in its red badge. With a comprehensive model lineup capable of satisfying enthusiasts of Italian custom bikes, Moto Guzzi boasts thoughtful research and development based on how the riders would want their motorcycles to be. Combined with superb production quality that unites innovation and engine technology with high craftsmanship to detail, Moto Guzzi continues to win loyalty of the Guzzisti around the world, including in Thailand.
Moto Guzzi’s debut presence at this event highlights the V9 line of mid-sized motorcycles with distinctive styling that make them unmistakably Moto Guzzi and an individual statement of the riders. Fitted with 90° transverse V-twin engine, V9 motorcycles are renowned for their engineering design and great care to every detail of production as well as high quality materials with high durability and lightweight benefit that contributes to better balance and handling. They are also ergonomically designed to deliver superb ride with the perfect combination of handling and stability. As a key version of the V9, Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer is characterised by its vintage appeal in a superb combination of classic style and high technology. Its 90° transverse V-twin engine has a total displacement of 853 cc and maximum output of 55hp. The model comes with ABS and has a low kerb weight of 199 kg. With three available colours, namely Bianco Classico (white), Giallo Solare (yellow) and Rosso Rubino (red), the V9 Roamer is priced at 635,000 baht.
Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber is a sportier version, expressing an altogether darker and more nocturnal soul with its total black look. In bobber styling, it has a carefully shortened mudguard and oversized tyres. The 90° V-twin engine with 853 cc. displacement is a 4-stroke unit with two valves per cylinder arranged at an angle in the head, which is a unique engine configuration of Moto Guzzi. The V9 Bobber is available in two colours, Nero Massiccio (black) and Grigio Sport (Grey), at the price of 635,000 baht.
