Quentin Job, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard (Thailand), has arranged a press conference for The Venture Year 3 by Chivas Regal,
a global campaign supporting the new generation to Win the Right Way,
and encouraging entrepreneurs to run their businesses in a way that
benefits society. The campaign searches for individuals or groups with
fresh ideas with which they can do good while doing well. The
competition welcomes social enterprises in their start-up stage and
growth stage. The press conference will take place at The Hive Bangkok, Piman Sukhumvit 49
The Venture Year 2 wrapped up in New York City in July 2016, with the winner Oscar Andres Mendez, founder of Conceptos Plásticos in
Colombia. His business transforms plastic and rubber waste into an
alternative construction foundation for permanent and temporary housing.
These plastic blocks work like Lego pieces, allowing whole communities
and families to play a part in the simple construction of their own
homes. This not only prevents plastic pollution and diverts waste from
landfills, but it also creates sought-after building materials so that
communities can establish a physical infrastructure in the form of
housing, shelters, classrooms, community halls and other buildings. It
has helped build contemporary shelters for 42 families displaced by
violence, whilst recycling 200 tons of plastic in the process. In The
Venture Year 3, Chivas Regal continues its social mission, honored by
the National Innovation Agency (NIA) as its supporter.
At
the press conference, the panel of judges will be introduced. They will
play an important role in inspiring the contestants and groom a new
generation of entrepreneurs with a concept of sustainable social
contribution. The judges are Quentin Job, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard (Thailand), Phanart Chairat Director of the National Innovation Agency, Ada Chirapaisarnkul founder and director of Thai Young Philanthropist Network (TYPN), Pita Limjaroenrat Managing Director of CEO Agrifood Company Limited, Ruangroj “Krating” Poonpol, 500 Tuk Tuks venture partner, and Arch Wongchindawest founde r of Socialgiver.
