“Heath at Home” won dtac Accelerate Batch 4: Viking Pitch

April 8, 2016dtac Accelerate announced “Health at Home” as the Viking Pitch winner, receiving a fast track to the final-20 round and pitch on Pitch Day. Health at Home’s pitch won the judges’ heart during the Viking Pitch Clinic in which 77 teams of startups pitched their ideas to the judges to find out if they are on the right track. All the teams received comment and recommendation from the judges and dtac Accelerate alumni who joined the clinic to provide useful and warm feedback to the new startups.”

Mr. Sompoat Chansomboon, Director of Business Innovation and dtac Accelerate, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac said, “The Thai startup industry has significantly grown over the past few years, both in terms of quantity and quality of the startups. For instance, 165 teams participated in the Viking Pitch Clinic and 77 teams, 5 times of last year’s number, registered to pitch to the judges. This year, we continue to see the rise and success of startups like Seekster who won the Echelon Asia Top 100 Startups and also joined the Viking Pitch. FINNOMENA, a FinTech startup consisting of 8 investment gurus with over 2 million followers, and Visionear, a creator of IoT devices for blind people, also pitched at the Viking Pitch. Health at Home, a dark horse coming into the Viking Pitch, is founded by a pair of doctors who created a mobile application and website by themselves. Health at Home is keen to use technology and innovation to develop better and more convenient healthcare services for home-based patients with chronic illness and elderly people.

There are many other teams with great ideas, and 19 of them will be selected to pitch on Pitch Day, which I can guarantee would be more exciting and competitive than the Viking Pitch. I am sure that all the teams will give the judges and mentors a tough time.”
