Var Group Launches Yarix APAC in Thailand, Positioning Bangkok as a Regional Cybersecurity Hub
Bangkok, 9 September 2026 – Var Group, a leading digital integrator of services and solutions, has established Yarix APAC (Yarix Asia Pacific) in Thailand through a joint venture designed to strengthen cybersecurity service delivery in the country while expanding Var Group’s managed security capabilities across the Asia Pacific region.
Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, Yarix APAC is owned 51% by CV Ventures, a Thai technology company with deep expertise in the local market, and 49% by Yarix, Var Group’s cybersecurity center of excellence dedicated to advanced security services and operations.
The establishment of Yarix APAC positions Bangkok as a strategic regional hub for Var Group’s cybersecurity expansion across Asia Pacific, with a particular focus on Blue Team and defensive cybersecurity capabilities, including Security Operations Center (SOC) services and Incident Response.
The new operation is designed to support enterprises and institutions in responding to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats while strengthening Var Group’s global cybersecurity operations.
Local Cybersecurity Operations Backed by Global Expertise
Yarix APAC is adopting a local-first operating model that combines international cybersecurity expertise with in-depth knowledge of the Thai market.
All current employees at the Bangkok office are Thai nationals, including the company’s Managing Director, reflecting Yarix APAC’s commitment to developing long-term cybersecurity capabilities and local expertise in Thailand.
At the same time, the Bangkok Security Operations Center (SOC) team operates according to Yarix’s globally aligned methodologies, processes and operating standards. This approach enables consistent cybersecurity service delivery across regions while maintaining the flexibility required to address local market needs.
The operating model is already delivering results, with the Bangkok team having successfully completed its first local Incident Response engagement for a customer in Thailand.
Yarix APAC Strengthens 24/7 Cybersecurity Monitoring Through the Follow the Sun Model
The Bangkok operation will support Var Group’s Security Operations Center (SOC) services, enabling continuous cybersecurity monitoring and incident response through teams operating across multiple time zones under Var Group’s Follow the Sun operating model.
Bangkok was selected not only because of its growing cybersecurity ecosystem, but also because of its strategic time-zone position within Var Group’s global operating structure.
By extending SOC coverage across Asia Pacific business hours, Yarix APAC can support seamless 24/7 threat monitoring and incident response without relying extensively on overnight operations.
The model is designed to provide uninterrupted cybersecurity protection for customers while supporting a more sustainable operating environment. By reducing the need for extensive night-shift operations, the approach also aims to improve the working conditions and well-being of cybersecurity analysts.

Var Group Expands International Cybersecurity Operations
The establishment of Yarix APAC forms part of Var Group’s broader international cybersecurity growth strategy.
Since 2022, Var Group has expanded its cybersecurity operations across Italy, other European markets, Mexico and India, bringing its cybersecurity presence to 13 offices across six countries.
Var Group’s cybersecurity business generates consolidated turnover of approximately €50 million, equivalent to approximately THB1,921.8 million, and is supported by more than 400 cybersecurity professionals.
In Thailand, Yarix APAC is targeting THB30 million in revenue over the next 12 months, with a goal of more than doubling that figure during the following 12 months.
To support this growth strategy, Yarix APAC has already signed two distribution agreements with local partners, established a reseller agreement, and built a local sales team to strengthen direct engagement with customers in Thailand.
Yarix services are also available through a dedicated Thai-language website, including support for 24/7 Incident Response in the event of a cyberattack.

Var Group Plans Further Investment in Thailand
Var Group plans to invest several hundred million Thai baht over the next 24–36 months to support local recruitment and the development of advanced cybersecurity capabilities in Thailand.
The company also sees Thailand as a potential future base for expanding globally delivered infrastructure services throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The investment is expected to support the development of local cybersecurity talent, strengthen operational capabilities and expand the range of services available to enterprises and institutions in Thailand and neighboring markets.
