‘Minute Maid’ creates ‘Shake to Refresh’ phenomenon with new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM TITLE after getting 641 people to open bottles in a relay

Bangkok (3 August 2016) – ‘Minute Maid’, the popular brand of quality ready-to-drink juices in Thailand by the Coca-Cola system in Thailand, recently seized the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM TITLE for most people opening bottle in a relay with 641 participants lining up to consecutively open the bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy.  The old record was 455 people.  The attempt at the world record was made successful with the help of a huge crowd of people dressed in bright orange who joined the brand’s executives and leading celebrities of Thailand in a long line to ‘shake… drink...chew’ Minute Maid Pulpy at Parc Paragon.

‘Minute Maid’ also announced the launch of its Shake to Refresh with Minute Maid campaign.  The campaign aims to invigorate Thailand’s juice market, while reinforcing the brand’s popularity as a juice that refreshes with great wholesome taste of fruit and the texture and experience of fruit pulp.

The brand also introduced its latest brand ambassador “Pango - Jintanadda Lammakanont”, a budding singer and actress on ONE and GMM channels.  She will work with Minute Maid Pulpy on a special theme song to be featured aimed at making ordinary days more refreshing and colourful.  Tune in to Minute Maid Thailand’s facebook page www.facebook.com/MinuteMaidThailand to log on to the song.  Pango will also lead a team of celebrities such as “VJ Woonsen – Virithipa Pakdeeprasong”, “Kulamas Limprawuttiwaranonth” and “Tina – Suppanad Jittaleela”

Ms. Claudia Navarro, Marketing Director of Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd., said,                    “The idea for “Shake to Refresh with Minute Maid”, came from the realization that we all hit those moments in our routine in which we feel dragged down and we simply need to shake things off to make our day better, brighter and refreshing. In fact, this is a great analogy to how to best enjoy Minute Maid Pulpy: when all of its great bits and pulp are at the bottom, we need to shake the bottle, so that all the goodness comes to the top, and we enjoy a refreshing moment. We chose a young, bright and cheerful teen idol like “Pango - Jintanadda Lammakanont” as our brand ambassador to communicate the feeling of freshness to consumers throughout the campaign.

The brand has also introduced Minute Maid Splash in 280 ml. PET bottle to make it more handy for consumers. In addition, all Minute Maid ready-to-drink juices, including Pulpy will have new design labels in line with changes in Minute Maid’s packaging label worldwide.  To represent the whole product line in premium brand and attractiveness, black was used for a fresh change that would make it more attractive to consumers.  The new Minute Maid Pulpy Orange label will be introduced first before changes are made to other flavors.
