February 5, 2016 – dtac mobilizes Jaew agent to be an online financial services agent as dtac in partnership with Telenor Group has focused on developing and expanding online mobile financial services to promote Thailand’s cashless society.

Based on Bank of Thailand’s 1Q2015 Payment Systems Insight report, the mobile payment contributed the highest growth rate among other payment methods at 129.8% YoY. Popularity of E-Commerce and M-Commerce and several supportive factors will rapidly drive the massive growth of e-wallet use nationwide. Converting 7,500 Jaew agents to be a capable online financial services network will help us bring financial services to all of Thailand successfully.”
dtac aims to expand the network of Jaew agents to the entire Happy Online network of more than 100,000 agents to help bring financial services to all of Thailand. The new Happy Online will facilitate mobile top-up service and deposits to dtac mobile wallet. dtac will also move our agent-based services which currently provide service of bill payment and money transfer to the dtac mobile wallet solution which will be fully launched soon while the Over-the-counter Jaew services will be ended on March 31st.
