Ms. Bussaya Prakobthong, General Manager of N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Company limited (NEO) explained that the exhibition’s theme relates to the pet’s role in bringing happiness and fun to its family. She added that the theme is meant to foster positive attitudes and compassion needed to raise a good pet.
Pet Expo Thailand 2015 will also feature a wealth of both educational and entertainment activities. Educational seminars will be held at the expo to provide information on pet care from leading experts and veterinarians from the public and private sectors.
Some entertainment activities highlight cute and smart animals, while others showcase rare and exotic species from around the world. For example, a rabbit race will be held between the longest species and the largest, the latter of which there are only 2 in Thailand, as well as a showcase of exclusively purebred rodents, including guinea pigs and prairie dogs.
The exhibition is expected to host several competitions, including the superhero costume contest. Many activities will cater to dog owners, such as dog racing, obstacle courses, eating competitions, and fashion show.
Attendees can take a break from all the excitement and relax at the Cat Café in Zone C on the first floor. Café patrons can enjoy snacks and beverages while being surrounded by feline friends.
Meanwhile, more than 200 booths of leading brands for pet products and services will be offered at the exhibition, including pet food, medication, supplements, fur products clothes, accessories, toys, and training equipment.
Representatives in the pet industry will also be present, including those for animal-friendly hotels and accommodations, as well as public and private veterinaries. Veterinarians will be offering free health check ups during the exhibition.
Charities will be hosted at the event to raise awareness for various animal-related causes and instill a sense of responsibility in pet owners. An important event is the Hero dog blood drive, held at the booth for the Small Animal Hospital of Chulalongkorn University. Blood donors will receive a medal with the image of a royal canine companion of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
