     Thailand | October 24, 2024 – Schaeffler, a leading global technology company in the automotive and industrial sectors, has officially opened its new Central Logistics Center in Thailand. This state-of-the-art facility marks a significant milestone in the company's expansion of Vehicle Lifetime Solutions across the Asia Pacific region. The event took place in Si Racha District, Chonburi, with Mr. Jens Schüler, CEO of Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions, presiding over the ceremony. Business partners from across Asia Pacific were in attendance, highlighting the importance of this logistics hub.

Strategic Location and Operations of the Central Logistics Center

     The newly inaugurated facility, located 21 kilometers from Schaeffler’s Chonburi plant, spans 3,000 square meters and plays a crucial role in managing Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Quality for the entire Asia Pacific region. With Schaeffler staff overseeing core functions, the logistics center is designed to streamline logistics processes, increase delivery capacity, and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Improving Operational Efficiency and Service Quality

     “Our new logistics center in Thailand emphasizes Schaeffler’s commitment to delivering top-tier service quality and operational efficiency,” said Mr. Micah Shepard, President of Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Asia Pacific. “This facility is a central hub for spare parts distribution in the region, improving accessibility and efficiency. Additionally, we are launching the Schaeffler service brand REPXPERT and the Schaeffler OneCode service solution to elevate after-sales support, focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.”

Partnership with Kuehne+Nagel for Efficient Logistics Operations

     Schaeffler has partnered with Kuehne+Nagel, a global leader in logistics services, to handle operational activities at the new Central Logistics Center in Thailand. Kuehne+Nagel will oversee goods receiving, kitting, and shipping, ensuring a high level of service to customers throughout the Asia Pacific region.

     Schaeffler is introducing its innovative OneCode system, a service solution for vehicle repair across Asia Pacific. By scanning a QR code, users are directed to the product page on Schaeffler’s Online Catalog or the REPXPERT app, allowing mechanics to access vital product information, step-by-step installation guides, and authenticity verification.
