JustCo Launches Regional PUBG Mobile Championship to Foster Deeper Social Connections Within the Growing
E-sports Community Amid COVID-19 Crisis
In response to the rise of mobile gaming and e-sports in the current pandemic, the JustCo PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile Championship will create an opportunity for gaming enthusiasts in the region to social interact over a common interest, and foster a stronger sense of community

Bangkok, July 2020 – In this era of remote working and isolation where physical interactions are highly reduced, JustCo – the leading co-working company in Asia Pacific organises a virtual PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile Championship, with over SGD18,000 or approximately THB 400,000 worth of coveted prizes to be won. Happening from 8 – 9 August 2020, the JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship aims to connect mobile gamers within the JustCo community and the larger e-gaming community across Asia Pacific.

Held across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea and Taiwan, the JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship will bring together over 120 participating teams to battle it out at the qualifiers on 8 August, where the top 16 teams will enter the final championship on 9 August. Top 3 winning teams will walk away with SGD18,000 worth of attractive prizes including Amazon Gift Cards, Razer Rewards, Alibaba Cloud Credits, JustCo Credits and more. Early bird tickets are available until 31 July; priced at SGD25 per team for JustCo members, and SGD38 per team for public.

“The JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship will offer a great platform for us to connect e-gaming enthusiasts both within and outside of the JustCo community, across Asia Pacific. In a stressful time like this, it’s especially fitting to keep everyone connected virtually through a common interest, which can also be a stress reliever,” said Wimolnit Lertpitakkit, General Manager, JustCo Thailand.

Since registration for the championship opened, there has been an encouraging level of interest from both JustCo members and the public. One of the first registrants was a JustCo member, who shared his excitement for his first e-gaming competition, and is looking forward to watch and learn the skill shots and strategies from other teams. Some companies have also signed up for their staff, using this as an opportunity for team bonding.

“WorkWell is excited to work with JustCo for our very first PUBG Mobile Championship. JustCo has been our valuable partner thus far, and we have organised many  successful lifestyle and wellness events together. We believe such events boost social interaction and foster a healthier work-life balance for all working adults, especially during such challenging times,” said Kimi Oh of WorkWell, a workplace wellness strategies consultant.
Following the success of recent initiatives such as JustCo Campus and JustCo Cares social responsibility campaign, the virtual JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship is organised to further nurture a collaborative culture among members. As a ‘community-first’ co-working company, members can look forward to other upcoming community events, such as In Conversation with Forbes 30 Under 30 virtual panel discussion on 27 August 2020, which will bring together young entrepreneurs within the JustCo community, to share about the challenges faced throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
