ASICS OPENS THEIR NEW STORE AT CENTRAL WORLD, LAUNCHING ‘GEL KAYANO 25’ FOR ULTIMATE RUNNING EXPERIENCE

Responding to the current trend of happy and healthy lifestyle, ASICS, the world-class athletic gear brand for sports enthusiasts, opens their new store in the heart of Bangkok at Central World department store. To top the opening event, ASICS is introducing the latest highlight product ‘ASICS GEL-KAYANO 25.’ Launching under ‘THE BLACK OUT TRACK’ concept, the GEL-KAYANO 25 delivers the never-before running in the darkness experience on a black light-lit track to runners and influencers – so they get to experience the synchronization of mind, body, and shoes.
Mr. Warodom Pranbunpook, Country General Manager of ASICS (Thailand) Co.Ltd., stated that Thailand is regarded as Asia’s highest potential market for both its selling growth rate and the increasing number of target consumers owing to the current healthy trends. In response to the growing athletic needs, the company has recently opened a new store at Central World as the 7th store with an area of 151.6 sq.m. Despite its strategic location, as well as its being the shopping landmark for Thai and foreigners at the heart of Bangkok, the store’s interior maintains the Japanese concept of unique harmonious and simple design – the product displays allowing customers to try products at their utmost convenience. Moving forward, the company plans to open a total of 10 stores by 2018.
“We believe our brand has more capability comparing to our competitors in the market. Our products are versatile – ranging from high-quality functions with enhanced performance to the most up-to-date fashionable designs. By exploring ASICS, the customers are also blessed with even more added value of all other athletic gears under the ASICS brand,” said Warodom.

ASICS BLACKOUT TRACK
A smaller and shareable experience conceived from the earlier “ASICS Blackout Track” event that happened in June, this concept is exclusively designed for ASICS fans to experience the concept of running in the darkness with no tech, no music, no scenery, no comforts and no finish line. This is a good test pad for the GEL-KAYANO 25; the first ever shoe to feature FLYTEFOAM LYTE AND FLYTEFOAM PROPEL technologies. In the dark, runners will feel the difference as the technologies work together to help absorb impact and propel them forward whilst providing the ultimate comfort and stability to go the distance.

GEL-KAYANO 25
Through ASICS’ unique approach to human-centric design, research in technological innovation, and dedication to excellence, every iteration of the GEL-KAYANO series has improved on the previous version, offering runners increased protection and performance every time. Being the very first footwear edition ever made with CELLULOSE NANOFIBER (CNF), the series has broken boundaries in product innovation and has enabled runners to perform at their best—revolutionizing the performance running category. The GEL-KAYANO 25 is no exception, offering yet again, brand-new technology from ASICS’ Institute of Sport Science (ISS), which debuts in this shoe. It also features the new FlyteFoam Lyte and FlyteFoam Propel Technologies, working in parallel to deliver superior protection and enhanced stability no matter the distance.
The event sees the attendance of the famous sports enthusiasts such as Nat Sakdatorn (Nat), Thanchanok Ritnaka (Bebe), Suthee Bavornwanich (Boom), Nadtara Botth (Pan); leading micro influencers such as Phurikoolkrit Chusakdiskulwibul (Amp), Nitcharee Kijviriyatanachote (Best), Natcharee Kijviriyatanachote (Book), Tharathorn Bhumirat (Pu), Tara Smit (Arm); and running and athletic influencers such as Jirapong Meenapra (Milk), Suneeka Prichaprong (Toey), Ajaree Kiatfuengfoo (Noon), Jitrapan Maisorn (Julie). All of whom come to congratulate on the store opening and share their own experience with ASICS.
