MFEC is the first company in Thailand to deliver this kind of solution.
mDefense solution extends the capabilities of Cisco Tetration Platform, which is a large data tank that stores usage and network logs. It can be compared with surveillance camera system that enables detection and analysis of unusual events on the network. MFEC leverages insights from Cisco Tetration Platform to deliver predictions so as to help avoid negative effects on businesses.
mDefense is an intelligent solution. It can recognize and learn about both normal behaviors like regular usage patterns and unusual events such as cyber-attacks and ransonware. It analyzes behaviors that can negatively affect the systems or expose them to security threats or damage risks.
“To protect businesses from security threats better, MFEC has leveraged Machine Learning technology to enable our solution to learn about the differences between normal behaviors and anomalies. We use data from Tetration Telemetry and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) to identify the status of applications and servers. Then, data from both sources will be send to Machine Learning model that allow network behavior learning. The solution will thus provide predictions about application downtime or server downtime, along with reports on the number of affected users, estimated losses and proactive solutions. All this information will help prevent business losses and damages,” Thanakorn said.
Moreover, mDefense will send analysis to administrators, allowing them to clearly read details on the dashboard and quickly set up protection plan and solutions to mitigate damages. mDefense can also learn about behaviors of emerging threats. With future updates, mDefense will be able to suggest proper solutions to administrators that this will be very beneficial to both IT administrators and business managers.
“mDefense is designed for large enterprises in public and private sectors that rely on business-critical software applications. If these applications work improperly due to security attacks or errors, it will cause significant losses to their business. With this new solution being implemented, we target to achieve over 500 million Baht revenue by 2019,” Thanakorn added.
