LINE Thailand announces Ariya Banomyong as its first MD

Bangkok, Thailand – October 1, 2015 – LINE Thailand announced today the appointment of Ariya Banomyong as Managing Director. He will be responsible for driving LINE Thailand’s market strategy and advancing business development efforts.  

Ariya has a track record of strong leadership combined with 18 years of experience and deep industry knowledge in the technology and mobile business areas. Prior to LINE, Ariya was the first Country Head at Google Thailand igniting the company’s success after serving as the former Chief Commercial Officer for True Corporation where he led the company’s convergence strategy. Moreover, Ariya has international experiences in France while taking care of customer relationship management at Netonomy and partner channel development at Genesyslab (known as Alcatel-Lucent). He initially started his career in telecom at Orange, Romania.

Ariya speaks four languages and holds two Master's degrees in Mathematics & IT from the University of Marne-La-Vallée, France and Management from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom. His experience and tenure make him a cornerstone for the future success of LINE Thailand.

The newly minted Managing Director is well aware that catapulting LINE Thailand onto its next phase of evolution will be a challenge but he is confident that his knowledge coupled with creative thinking will contribute in growing the company’s new business in Thailand and meet any challenges with success.
