UNIQLO launches S.E.A.C UT T-shirt collection

,featuring works from 8 top Thai and Southeast Asian designers
Bangkok, 28 July 2015 – UNIQLO unveils S.E.A.C UT (Southeast Asia Creators’ UT), the latest UT T-shirt collection from the minds of eight leading designers from the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. The works of three leading Thai designers are featured in the collection – calligrapher Santi Lawrachawee of Practical Design Studio, cartoonist and Mamuang chan creator Wisut Ponnimit, and illustrator Thatchamaphan “Pomme Chan” Chanchamrassang. The S.E.A.C UT collection is available at UNIQLO stores nationwide from July 28, 2015 onwards.
The S.E.A.C UT collection is based on UNIQLO’s LifeWear concept, combining soft and snug fabric with designs that fit every lifestyle and occasion. All eight designers have translated their talents and distinctive visual trademarks into the collection’s 29 T-shirts, available in all sizes for adults and kids.

Santi Lawrachawee of Practical Design Studio, one of the three Thai designers featured in this UT collection, crafted graphical designs with structures and lines that reflect Thai society and culture through calligraphy and imagery, all while retaining UNIQLO’s stylish simplicity by blending the standout qualities of both the designer and the brand. The collection will be available from 28 July 2015 onwards at UNIQLO stores nationwide.


Cartoonist Wisut Ponnimit, who penned and propelled the work of Mamuang chan to popularity in Thailand and beyond, has brought along the adorable Mamuang chan character for this collection, making for a refreshing and harmonious blast of colors on T-shirts that fit every occasion which the collection will be available at UNIQLO stores nationwide from 4 August 2018 onwards.


Illustrator Thatchamaphan Chanchamrassang, also known as Pomme Chan, came up with colorful drawings of flowers in a multitude of colors to exude a sense of femininity as well as LifeWear-style simplicity. Her trademark lines and colors are bound to delight fashionistas with the possibility of more artful looks. The S.E.A.C UT collection crafted by Pomme Chan will be available from 14 August 2015 onwards at UNIQLO stores nationwide.
