Ducati spectacularly showcasing its full realm of art and performance, and unveiled the new project for Ducati Scrambler.

     Ducati has convened its biggest event of the year, the “Ducati Showcase 2015” under the concept of “art and design”, reinforcing its leadership position in the area of design, together with the unveiling of the Ducati Scrambler Project Rebellion” and the Scrambler Custom Bike Contest, as well as the Ducati Design Contest from the students of Architecture Faculty, Chulalongkorn University and the one-of-a-kind art piece that comes in the full size motorcycle—all this and many more at the Central World Bangkok, 16-19 July 2015
     Apichat Leenutaphong, Managing Director of Ducatisti Co., Ltd. or Ducati Thailand as the sole authorized importer of the premium motorcycle from Bologna, Italy, has once again led his team to create the biggest Ducati event in Thailand for the 3rd year running and for 2015, the Ducati Showcase is running under the “art and design” theme. 

     2013 Ducati Showcase

    Ducati is the premium motorcycle brand best recognizes for its superior performance and technology, proven by many victories on the race tracks all over the world. In addition, Ducati is also renowned for its design. Each Ducati motorcycle is designed to be “minimalistic” or a work of art that is simple in its form but full of modern function and encapsulates the pure sense of passion.  To date, Ducati has won many design awards and recognitions from all corners of the globe, with the most recent ones, including:
  • Compasso d'Oro Design Award for Ducati 1199 Panigale in 2014
  • Best-of-the-Best from Red Dot Design Award for 1199 Panigale in 2013
  • Ducati 916 was the first motorcycle to be exhibited in the Museum of Modern Arts (MOMA), New York
     Ducati Showcase 2015 is showing many Ducati and Ducati Scrambler of various models throughout the Central World department store, so passersby can experience the iconic motorcycles up close and personal.  Many customized Ducati Scramblers are on displayed to offer a glimpse of how Ducati Scrambler can be modified to best represent the true identity of its riders. Some of the celebrities that have brought their Scrambler Custom bikes to the show includes Arak “Pae” Amornsupasiri, Sirisilp “Kwang” Chotivijit (“Kwang” AB Normal), Jiradt “Poo” Pornpanitphan and many more. During the Showcase, audiences will, for the first time ever, experience the newest edition of the Ducati Scrambler known as “Project Rebellion”, which is a Ducati Thailand’s undertaking to offer fully customized Ducati Scrambler that will revolutionize all existing preconceptions and let you express who you truly are. Project Rebellion consists of “Ducati Scrambler Urban Warrior designed for those freedom loving souls that are not afraid to stand for what they believe in, priced at 399,900THB. Next is the Ducati Scrambler Legend 62. The motorcycle designed for those looking to make their own legend, and it is priced at 449,900THB for Legend 62 Bianco (white) and 439,900THB for Legend 62 Nero (black). In addition, to fully illustrate the self-expression concept of the Scrambler, Ducati Thailand also convened the Ducati Scrambler Custom Bike Contest where the winner would win a pair of carbon fiber wheels made especially for Ducati Scrambler by BST worth more than 100,000THB
     To emphasize Ducati’s leadership in the area of design, Ducati Thailand is working with the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University to create the Ducati Design Contest, to search for the top talented students to design any product that is inspired from Ducati. Product designs from the students range from a coffee machine to a foldable guitar, and serve as the masterpiece for students in their further study or in their future career. The winning team will get the opportunity to visit the Ducati Design Center in Bologna, Italy.
     The highlight of the Ducati Showcase is the “Soul of Ducati”, first-of-its-kind art piece that features the collage of photographs from many Ducatisti, celebrities and thousands of Ducati fans in Thailand, and has been reproduced onto the actual size Ducati Superbike 996. This symbolizes the passion that everyone shares for Ducati and gives the meaning to what it means to be a Ducatista, hence the Soul of Ducati.   
     Last but not least, the Ducati Showcase also contains the DRE Moment Live or talk-show style workshop that all bikers should attend to further improve their riding skills, as well as special discount on Ducati apparel up to 50%, from 16 to 19 July 2015 at Eden (1st floor), Central World Bangkok.
